§ Mr. SalmondTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will publish a table of data for the whitefish sectoral allocations for cod, haddock, saithe and whiting for each of the producers' organisations involved for the year 1988 and the comparable figures for 1987; what quantity of fish has been recorded for the non-sector in 1988; and what special provisions have been made for vessels under 10 m in these allocations.
§ Mr. Gummer[holding answer 7 July 1988] : I would be prepared to publish this information—which would reveal details of individual producer groups' allocations—only if such a course was acceptable to the industry. We shall shortly be consulting the industry on this, and when these consultations are completed, I shall write to the hon. Gentleman.
