HC Deb 04 July 1988 vol 136 c411W
Mr. Dicks

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the practice, when another country approaches Her Majesty's Government indicating that an individual applying for a visa to enter the United Kingdom may be a security risk to that other country, with regard to making inquiries to check the accuracy of that information; and what account is taken of such information in determining an individual's visa application.

Mr. Hurd

Any information relevant to a visa application is carefully considered and given due weight in reaching a decision on the application.
