To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when he expects the motorway link between the M23 and M27 to be completed.

The Compton to M27 section of the M3 motorway should he completed in 1991. The timing of the final section between Bar End and Compton will depend on the outcome of the recent public inquiry, on which the inspector's report is awaited.
