To ask the Secretary of State for Energy if he will raise at his next meeting with the consumer bodies of the electricity and gas industries the implications for the industry and consumers of the levying of value added tax on gas and electricity, in view of the imminent decision of the European Court of Justice on the case initiated by the Commission on 15 September; and if he will make a statement.
