Mr. Goodlad

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many homes have been bought by council house tenants in each of the last five years in each district in Cheshire.

Figures reported by each district are as follows:

March, to households under normal waiting list allocation procedures. Figures for individual authorities appear in column E9C of the "HIP1 all items print" for 1983, 1986 and 1987 and in column D9C for 1984 and 1985; copies of all these documents are in the Library.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many landlords were recorded on local authority housing waiting lists at a convenient date in each of the last five years in(a) Vale Royal and (b) Chester.
