To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services how many bilingual or multilingual staff are employed in his Department's local offices in Middlesbrough, Stockton, Hartlepool, Redcar and Eston.

Stockton local office has one bilingual member of staff. The other offices — Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Redcar and Eston—have none.
