To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what participation the Scottish Development Agency will have in the activities and formation of the Scottish national meat centre and food park.

Mr. Lang

The Scottish Development Agency is discussing with Edinburgh district council the possible development of a Scottish national meat centre in Edinburgh. The nature and extent of the agency's participation in the centre is still under consideration.
