To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give the name of the member of each Forestry Commission regional advisory committee appointed primarily to represent the environmental interest.

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the dates in 1987 when the director general of the Forestry Commission met the following groups(a) Countryside Link and Wildlife Link, (b) Forestry Industry Committee of Great Britain and (c) Timber Growers United Kingdom.

The information is as follows:

  1. (a) 27 January
  2. (b) 18 March, accompanying the Secretary of State for Scotland, and 1 December at the launch of the committee's report "Beyond 2000".
  3. (c) No meeting has taken place specifically with Timber Growers United Kingdom. The director general has, however, been present at a number of meetings during the year at which they were represented, along with other bodies.
