§ Mr. Michael ForsythIn addition to the general level of support given to local authorities and health boards, the Scottish Office is providing grant in the present financial year in connection with services related to AIDS and HIV infection to the Scottish AIDS Monitor, Network (Scotland) Limited, the Edinburgh Brook Advisory Centre, the Scottish Drugs Forum and the West of Scotland HIV advisory group. These services are available to the public generally, including young people. Additionally, grant support is being provided to the drugs training project at Stirling University, the alcohol studies centre at Paisley college of technology and six local drug projects, all of which undertake work related to the problem of HIV infection and AIDS among drug misusers.
The Scottish Education Department is collaborating with Strathclyde regional council on a project to develop curricular material on AIDS for use in schools within a health education framework.
