Mr. Leighton

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what percentage of the London Docklands development corporation's budget has been spent using its powers under the Inner Urban Areas Act to give grants and loans to existing firms in docklands.

LDDC has spent £1,984,253 to date—which is 0.5 per cent. of its grant-in-aid.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how much public money the London Docklands development corporation has received to date.

To date the London Docklands development corporation has received £387.1 million grant-in-aid.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment who is responsible at the London Docklands development corporation for liason with the Docklands Forum following the dismissal of Mr. John Mills.

The LDDC board is to consider which of its members should represent the corporation on the Docklands Forum.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps are being taken to appoint a new deputy chairman of the London Docklands development corporation.

Consultations are continuing and an announcement will be made as soon as possible.
