To ask the Secretary of State for Defence where in Scotland the Naval Emergency Monitoring Organisation is based; whether it was on active deployment during January; and if he will make a statement.

[holding answer 17 February 1988]: The Naval Emergency Monitoring Organisation (Scotland) is based at the Clyde submarine base. It has not been actively deployed during 1988.
