§ 54. Ms. Abbott
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what consideration he has given to abolishing the primary purpose rule.

§ Mr. Renton
The primary purpose requirement is kept under continuing review but there are at present no plans to amend the relevant provisions of the immigration rules.
