HC Deb 17 February 1988 vol 127 c612W
Mr. Hayes

To ask the Attorney-General if he will introduce new regulations to simplify the settling of estates in intestacy cases.

The Attorney-General

No. I am not satisfied that there is any need to change the rules relating to the settlement and distribution, by personal representatives, of the estates of persons dying intestate. The rules are intended to enable the distribution of an intestate's estate in a manner that the intestate might have directed if he or she had left a valid will.
