To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what information he has on the private health contribution by the private health sector in Germany and France in percentages of their gross domestic product.

The proportion of gross domestic product spent on private health care in Germany and France in 1985 was 1.8 per cent. and 1.7 per cent. respectively.
