§ Mr. EggarMy right hon. and learned Friend's talks with Foreign Minister Uno, with International Trade and Industry Minister Mr. Tamura, and with leading representatives of Japanese industry included discussion of trade. He called for Japanese efforts to increase domestic demand to open her markets. We note the United Kingdom exports to Japan rose 30 per cent. in the first 11 months of 1987 and are now worth over £1,500 million per annum.
