To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what is being done in the tourism industry to provide special aids for the hearing-impaired.

The Holiday Care Service in conjunction with the English tourist board has produced a booklet "Providing for Disabled Visitors", which gives guidance to the tourism industry on helping people with impaired hearing. I understand that an increasing number of hotels and places of entertainment are installing induction loop systems.
