To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how long he estimates it will take for the Health and Safety Executive to process the 300 outstanding applications for approval on non-agricultural pesticides under the Control of Pesticides Regulation 1986.

The executive aims to process all outstanding applications before the end of 1989.
