When the Department of Social Security, Department of Health and Department of the Environment policy divisions met formally to discuss the implications to sheltered landlady schemes consequential upon the Department of Social Security proposals subsequently implemented through the Income Support (General) Amendment (No. 4) Regulations 1988, and what was the rank of the officers who took part.

Officials from these departments met regularly during 1987 and 1988 to discuss supported lodgings schemes and related issues, involving other departments as necessary. The grades of the officials taking part varied according to the nature and purpose of the meeting.
