asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, in view of Lord Skelmersdale's answer to a written question from Lord Colwyn on 4th February 1988 [H.L. Deb., col. 1274.] they can confirm that the National Medicines Society is one of the bodies which will be consulted about the draft EC directives on homoeopathic products.

The Commission of the European Community have not yet proposed a directive on homoeopathic products to the Council of Ministers. When such a proposal is officially submitted as a basis for discussion, its text will be communicated to United Kingdom interests, including the Natural Medicines Society, and laid before Parliament in the normal way.
