To ask the Secretary of State for Energy what recent consideration he has given to the implementation of the recommendations of the Burgoyne report into offshore safety.

Mr. Peter Morrison

Many of the recommendations of the Burgoyne committee were either implemented before its report was published or shortly thereafter. The current offshore safety regime closely reflects that recommended by the Burgoyne committee.
