To ask the Prime Minister what representations she has received on the nurses and midwives pay award for the coming year; and if she will make a statement.

To ask the Prime Minister when she expects to receive the report of the nurses and midwives pay review body for 1989.

The review body has been asked to submit its report to me in time for decisions to be made on its recommendations by mid-February.
