To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what measures he is planning to take to reinforce the partnership between local authorities and housing associations.

We have provided the framework for partnership between local authorities and housing associations. We are considering ways in which Exchequer support might be continued for local authority funding of housing association schemes. It is up to local authorities and housing associations themselves to develop partnership.
