To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he will make a statement on the future provision of post-16 education in inner London.

Mrs. Rumbold

Under the Government's proposals, each inner London council will be responsible for securing the provision of post-16 education in its area. This will be one of the subjects the boroughs will be required to cover in their development plans.
