§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonIn common with the rest of Scotland, Glasgow already benefits from the substantial contribution which the Government make towards crime prevention through, for example, the 51 per cent. specific grant on police expenditure, the community programme national crime prevention initiative and the urban programme. In addition, the Government have allocated £250,000 to crime prevention publicity measures in Scotland in the current financial year.
