asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will publish a weekly map or diagram showing the locations and extent of scheduled roadworks and diversions on all motorways.

There are seldom planned diversions. The present arrangements for informing road users of roadworks include fortnightly announcements in the national press and continuous Teletext and Oracle information with diagrams. We are also conducting an experimental teletext service at four motorway service areas on the M1 using specially designed dedicated pages.
