§ Sir Brandon Rhys Williamsasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) if he will publish figures showing for families with one to four children the income break-even levels, in pounds sterling per week and as percentages of average male manual earnings, at which child benefit entitlement is the same as income tax liability;
(2) if he will estimate how many and what proportion of families with children receive more in child benefit than they pay out in income tax.
