(2) if he will detail, for each year since 1973, the average level of debt owned to the National Health Service by the private medicine sector (a) in the Yorkshire region and (b) in the Pontefract district health authority.

§ Mr. LofthouseTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what estimate he has made of the cost to the National Health Service of the proposed increase in electricity charges in(a) the Yorkshire region and (b) the Pontefract district health authority area; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mrs. CurrieMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Energy has announced plans which will result in increases in electricity prices over a two-year period beginning in April 1988. An accurate assessment of the effect of those increases on individual health authorities cannot be made from information held centrally. The hon. Member may wish to write to the chairman of the authorities he mentions.
