§ Mr. Ron Brownasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement about James Abra, the Briton held by the Libyan authorities.
§ Mr. EggarThere is an appeal outstanding on Mr. Abra's behalf against his sentence of life imprisonment for spying. The appeal may be heard in November. I also understand that Mr. Abra's family lodged an appeal for clemency with the Libyan authorities in August this year.
