§ Mr. Meadowcroftasked the Minister for the Arts what information he has about the future funding of Opera North, Leeds; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. LuceOpera North will receive Arts Council funding of £2.593 million for 1987–88 which includes £0.454 million for touring. In addition, the company has received about £0.032 million from the local authorities for its operations during the first three months of this financial year, and discussions are continuing about funding for the remainder of the year.
