asked the Secretary of State for Transport what plans he has for the widening of the M25 between Chertsey and Heathrow.

Consultants are currently preparing a scheme for additional fourth lanes on the M25 between junctions 11 (Chertsey) and 13 (Staines). I shall make a further announcement about this as soon as possible. We have no plans for widening the existing dual four-lane sections of the motorway north of junction 13.
