HC Deb 24 July 1987 vol 120 cc604-5W
Mr. Illsley

asked the Secretary of State for Transport whether extra money will be made available to the South Yorkshire passenger transport authority to make grants for the transport needs of elderly and disabled persons under section 106 of the Transport Act 1985.

Mr. David Mitchell

It is for the passenger transport authority to determine how much it spends on individual items within its overall budget. Its expenditure level for 1988–89 has been determined at £41.5 million.
