HC Deb 24 July 1987 vol 120 c595W
Mr. Corbett

asked the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to his reply, Official Report 13 July, column 344, whether he will list those categories of overseas orders for defence equipment placed in the United Kingdom which do not have to be notified to the Defence Export Services Organisation and which are exempt from licence arrangements.

Mr. Sainsbury

The Export of Goods (Control) Order 1985, as amended, identifies the equipments, materials and technologies for which an export licence is required. Defence exports not so identified may be exported without a licence and without reference to the Defence Export Services Organisation.
