How many cases of multiple share applications have been identified in the issues of British Gas, British Airways and TSB shares, and how many prosecutions have followed.
§ Lord Young of GraffhamInvestigations are still continuing into the number of cases of suspected multiple share applications in the British Gas and British Airways share sales; one prosecution in relation to an application for British Airways shares is in progress. Arrangements for the TSB flotation were not a matter for the Government but I understand that over 40 cases of suspected multiple share applications have been referred to the police; three prosecutions are now in progress.
