10W(2) if, pursuant to his answer of 22 January, he is satisfied with the operation of the voluntary code of practice for tyre recalls in its application in the case of Arvoland after that firm went into receivership; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Peter BottomleyI am satisfied with the operation of the code of practice in this case. The receivers are cooperating with the Department in prohibiting the further sale of these tyres. The Department will shortly issue a press statement in accordance with the code of practice on tyre recalls.
