HC Deb 12 January 1987 vol 108 c85W
Mr. Maclennan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has received any objections to the draft compulsory purchase order for the Dunbeath bridge scheme on the A9; and if he will give his latest estimate of the date for work on the project to begin.

Mr. Ancram

No objections to the draft compulsory purchase order have been received. Construction is expected to start in the summer.

Mr. Maclennan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the current proposed starting date for the improvement of the A9 at Navidale Brae, north of Helmsdale in Sutherland.

Mr. Ancram

Investigations to determine a suitable route giving an adequate economic return are still in progress. A starting date is subject to identification of such a route, and thereafter to the satisfactory completion of statutory procedures and the availability of funds.
