HC Deb 09 February 1987 vol 110 cc23-4W
Sir John Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement about the official visit of his hon. Friend the Member for Dartford (Mr. Dunn), the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, to West Hatch school, Chigwell.

Mr. Dunn

I visited West Hatch high school, Chigwell on 28 January to see the valuable work being done there on health education. I sat in on a fifth year lesson and saw at first hand the perceptions of the pupils about the misuse of drugs. I was impressed by the lesson and the school's approach to this subject, as well as the authority's general programme of work on this topic.
