§ 47. Mr. Dubsasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he has any proposals to help local authorities provide accommodation for homeless and badly housed single people below pensionable age.
§ Mr. TraceyIt is for local authorities to decide whom they are going to provide accommodation for, taking into account their statutory obligations to the homeless and people in unsatisfactory housing conditions. Recent Government measures from which single people among others stand to benefit were set out in replies to my hon. Friend the Member for South Ribble (Mr. Atkins) on 26 November and to the hon. Member for Liverpool, West Derby (Mr. Wareing) on 16 January.
