§ Mr. David MitchellThe table shows 1986–87 budgeted expenditure on passenger transport revenue support (PTRS) and concessionary fares by local authorities and PTAs in each shire county and PTA area, expressed as a 527W single £ per head figure. It is not possible to exclude from PTA figures their expenditure on British Rail services under section 20 of the Transport Act 1968. Such expenditure amounted to £4.99 per head across all Metropolitan county council areas in 1984–85.
