§ Mr. KirkwoodTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will publish in theOfficial Report, for Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen, the YTS schemes available in the fiscal year 1988–89, the number of places in each schemes and the number of weekly hours training involved in each scheme.
§ Mr. LangThe Manpower Services Commission has not yet concluded contracts with managing agents for YTS places in 1988–89. Apart from work experience and on-the-job training two-year YTS trainees receive a minimum of 20 weeks off-the-job training and one-year YTS trainees receive a minimum of 13 weeks. In either case, the actual amount will vary according to the needs of individual schemes.
