§ Mr. SpearingTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what proportion of the £4 million for Estate Action packages, published by his departmental news release No. 499 of 1 December, is for the expenditure of money provided by him in grant and how much in loan sanctions from existing resources of local councils.
§ Mrs. RoeAs indicated in the press release of 1 December, £217,624 (5.5 per cent.) of the approved expenditure announced that day will be eligible for estate action urban programme grant; the other HIP extra allocations totalling some £3.7 million (94.5 per cent.) are additional resources being made available by Estate Action to the local authorities.
