To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when he expects to bring forward detailed proposals for the set aside of agricultural land.

[pursuant to his reply, 19 November 1987, c. 1201]: We are today publishing, jointly with my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, a detailed consultation document seeking the views of interested organisations on the implementation in the United Kingdom of the Community scheme for extensification of production. We are placing copies of the document in the Library of the House.
