To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what percentage of housing stock owned by Government Departments has been empty for more than six months.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make it his policy that properties owned by Government Departments which have been empty for more than six months can be used for housing instead of being sold on the open market; and if he will make a statement.
