Mr. Barry Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many people are unemployed in south Pembrokeshire; how many have been unemployed for (a) five years, (b) four years, (c) three years and (d) one year; what percentage unemployment this represents; and how many were unemployed in each of the years since 1979.

Numbers of unemployed and unemployment rates for the travel-to-work area of South Pembrokeshire between January 1984 and January 1987 are given in the following table. Comparable information is not available before this date.

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what has been the change in the number of bilingual primary and secondary schools in the last five years.

Mr. Wyn Roberts

Between 1981–82 and 1985–86 the number of bilingual primary schools increased from 62 to 67 and the number of bilingual secondary schools increased from 13 to 16. The figures are as follows:
