§ Mr. MellorThe provision of the new magistrates' courthouse is essentially the responsibility of Essex county council, in consultation with the magistrates' courts committee. We have recently set a cost limit for the scheme which will allow Essex county council to proceed to tender stage without further reference to the Home Office.
