HL Deb 25 November 1986 vol 482 c534WA
Lord Hylton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What advice they have received about the likely future costs of managing, storing and disposing of waste materials emanating from the present and planned nuclear power stations.

Viscount Davidson

My right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Energy receives detailed advice on these matters as appropriate from the Central Electricity Generating Board and British Nuclear Fuels plc. It is for these bodies to take such costs into account in their planning and financial estimates.
