HC Deb 04 November 1986 vol 103 c411W
Mr. Peter Bruinvels

asked the Attorney-General what change is proposed for the 1986–87 running costs limit for the Lord Chancellor's Department.

The Attorney-General

Subject to parliamentary approval of the necessary Supplementary Estimate the gross running costs limit for the Lord Chancellor's Department will be increased by £2,000,000 from £190,919,000 to £192,919,000. The increase is required for additional manpower to staff new courtrooms for the Crown court and to deal with increasing criminal and civil business. The extra costs will be offset by additional fee income and therefore there is no net change in public expenditure.
