§ Mr. Hawksleyasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if the pesticides safety precautions scheme has given approval for the use of Mowchem in public parks and on verges.
§ Mr. GummerMowchem — active ingredient mefluidide — currently has provisional commercial clearance under the pesticides safety precautions scheme for use as a grass growth retardant on industrial and non-crop land. This clearance permits its use on verges and in amenity areas such as public parks.
Mowchem is also approved for efficacy under the agricultural chemicals approval scheme.
