§ Mr. Robert Banksasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will set out the value and amount of food crops destroyed on his instigation arising from the effects of radiation following the Chernobyl disaster.
§ Mrs. FennerExtensive monitoring carried out by my Department has shown levels of radiation following the Chernobyl disaster to be well below those at which any action would need to be considered. We have not therefore instructed any food crops to he destroyed.
