Index of production (1980=100) Great Britain employment ('000) 1981 95.4 349 1982 92.7 344 1983 92.2 340 1984 97.5 340 1985 *101.5 *347 * provisional. I am pleased to note that the industry is sharing in the recovery in output shown by United Kingdom industry in recent years.
