asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if the emergency warning procedure agreement between the British and French Governments was used following the recent incident of a radiological leak at the Cap la Hague nuclear reprocessing plant; and if he will make a statement.

No. Since there was no escape of radioactivity to the atmosphere and therefore no radiological consequences for the United Kingdom the warning procedure was not implemented.
